I'd like to announce the coaching staff for PCSS and PCMS. Jamie Kane and Mike Chase PCHS baseball coaches. Tom Panciera PCHS Track coach, Emily Wilson PCHS Tennis Coach, and new to us, Sarah Tracy as the PCHS Softball coach assisted by volunteer coach Merle Gilbert. For PCMS, Beth MacNeil will coach track, Tanya Goodwin and Wendy Viera will coach the softball team and Brian Gaw will coach baseball. PCSS baseball and softball start Monday, March 22 for conditioning drills only for the first week. Track and tennis will start on Monday, March 29. For PCMS start dates, Baseball and Softball tryouts start Monday, April 5 while track starts Wednesday, April 7. Practice schedules will be handed out soon. Go Pirates!

Senior Sweatshirts have been ordered. The cost is $36.50 and the money needs to be in by Friday, March 26th.

On Friday, March 26 a practitioner from Northern Light (Northwoods) will be at both schools to perform sports physicals. Permission slips and the Sports Pre-participation Form can be picked up in each of the main offices of your child's school. We ask that they are returned by Wednesday, March 17. If you have any questions regarding if your child needs one, you can contact Mrs. Viera and Mr. Gallant.

On Tuesday, March 16, Coach Kane would like to meet with all the boys interested in playing baseball this spring at 12:15 in the gym.

After careful consideration, only senior parents will be allowed at their child's basketball banquet. The boys banquet is Monday, March 15 at 6:00 and the girls banquet is Tuesday, March 16 at 6:00. Both will be in the gym and both will still be streamed for the underclassman parents.

At this time, due to the increased number of Covid-19 cases in our area, we are unable to allow parents to attend the winter sports banquets. We apologize and understand the importance of being present for your child, as they are recognized by each coach, so we plan on streaming each banquet through Season Cast SAD4MYLIVEGAME.COM

Both the middle school basketball teams will playing in semi final games today. The girls travel to Dexter for a 4:00 tip off and the boys travel to Sedomocha for a 3:30 tip off. Best of luck to both teams! Go Pirates!

The PCHS boys and girls basketball teams will play in consolation games on Friday, March 5. The boys will travel to Penquis for a 7:00 game while the girls will play host to Penquis at 4:30. These will be their last games of the season. Both games can be seen on NFHS.

Today's middle school boys game is being live stream on their Youtube channel. Go to there website and you will locate it on the right of their page. They have been without internet service most of the day but they are back on line for now. Good Luck to the boys and girls MS teams today.

Arts Alive 2021 Plans are in the making at PCES for a modified Arts Alive for 2021. Due to CDC guidelines, we are unable to have volunteers from the community join us this year. At this time, we are planning on having a smaller version of Arts Alive for our in-person students and staff. We look forward to having our traditional Arts Alive in 2022. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

The MPA will be allowing schools to honor their seniors (once)whenever they see fit, as they play in their final home game with their parents in attendance.
