PCSS students spent the first quarter learning how to play the acoustic guitar and graduated to the electric guitar in quarter 2. An integral piece is learning how the guitar is made AND ultimately building their own guitar from a kit - choosing what color and style to paint it. Students will continue painting and sanding their guitars in steps and will have a nice finished guitar that they get to take with them after completing the class.

This week we had the opportunity to honor two PCHS student athletes as they signed their letters of intent and formally announced their plans for college athletics during a school assembly.

Molly Goodwin will be heading to New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire where she will be studying criminal Justice, and playing Field hockey for the Pilgrims. Molly was joined by her parents Walter and Tanya, and PCHS Field Hockey coach Emily Wilson.

Noah Kain will be heading down the road to Husson University in Bangor, where he will be studying Business Administration, and playing Baseball for the Eagles. Noah was joined by his parents Brian and Amanda, and Dexter/ PCHS co-op Baseball coach Chad Graffam.

Noah and Molly have been consistent examples of hard work and dedication during their years at PCHS. We would like to thank Noah, Molly and their families for the examples they have set. Congratulations to you both!

SPRING HAS SPRUNG!

Well, maybe not with the weather quite yet, but those trees and grasses are shedding pollen! If your student suffers from seasonal allergies, now is the time to consider resuming their antihistamines if needed.

This is also the time where asthmatics get stirred up. Please make sure inhalers are not expired, and if your student self-carries an inhaler, that he/she is doing so. The need for an inhaler can quickly turn into an emergency situation if a child is struggling and one isn't available. If you have any questions, let me know!
