For those parents who returned a form stating you were interested in counseling services for your student(s), I just wanted to give you an update. As many of you know, finding pediatric counselors in our area is VERY difficult. We were excited to have partnered with NL-Acadia late last spring and received an in-house counselor that served both schools. Expecting to have that service again, I sent out the interest forms. Unfortunately, that counselor did not return this year as expected, and our current contract with KVHC is full. I have a "waiting list" started for each school, in the hopes that we will receive word from someone, that counseling services are available once again. We do continue to have our Social Worker at the elementary school, and a stand-in Social Worker at the high school for the time being if something comes up. Thank you for understanding this situation.
The PCHS boys soccer game @ Penquis tomorrow will now be played at Heddericg Field in Brewer at 6pm. The boys will have a 4pm departure from the school.

Due to the potential for thunderstorms this afternoon, The PCHS Field hockey scrimmage at Stearns has been cancelled.
All PCMS practices have been cancelled
PCHS Boys Soccer and PCHS Field hockey practices have been canceled.
PCHS Girls soccer will practice in the PCHS gym from 6pm to 7pm.

A quick rundown on some changes-
Varsity Boys soccer- Scrimmage vs Bucksport on 8/31 moved back to 6pm, reg. season game vs. Lee moved to 10/8.
Varsity Girls Soccer- scrimmage @ W.A. on 8/24 canceled
Varsity Field Hockey- TBD Scrimmage @ FA canceled
The league wide PVC field hockey schedule is being reworked due to several programs being low on numbers. A new schedule will be provided as soon as possible.

Wednesday, August 26
ONLY students in Grades 6, 7, and 9 will attend school.
Grades 8, 10, 11, and 12 will NOT attend school on Wednesday, August 26. Their first day will be Thursday, August 27!
Grade 9: Borestone Mountain Hike - students should arrive with their permission slip and be prepared for a great day of hiking!
Grades 6 & 7: Orientation activities on campus with their core teachers.
Gold Day TCTC students: Catch the TCTC bus at 8:00 a.m. for a full day at TCTC.
Thursday, August 27 - First Day of Classes!
ALL students in Grades 6-12 will attend school for their first full day of classes!
We can’t wait to welcome everyone back and get the school year off to a fantastic start!
But what Trisha didn’t know… they had a BIG surprise waiting for her! 🎉
Thanks to the incredible generosity of Jon at Whited Truck Center, they were able to present Trisha with a total of $2,844 to go directly toward the Outdoor Education Program!! 🥹💜
This program gives local students opportunities to get outside, learn new skills, try new activities, and make memories that can last a lifetime. Being able to support a program that directly benefits kids in our community is exactly what the Central Maine Racing does for the community.
A HUGE thank you to Jon and Whited Truck Center for helping make this surprise possible, and to everyone who entered a vehicle, donated, attended, volunteered, or supported the car show at Riverfest. Every single one of you helped make this happen!
Last week Trisha also received a $500 donation from Russ and Donna Page who gave in memory of Trisha's parents who they miss dearly!
