Here is the updated athletic schedule for this week. There have been a lot of changes in the last 24 hours.
The PCMS baseball and softball games that were scheduled for today cannot be made up before the regular season expires. Since both teams find themselves outside of playoff contention, those seasons are now completed.
Today's PCHS tennis match @ MA will now be played on wednesday at 3:30
The PCHS softball game scheduled for today in Howland has been moved to Thursday the 28th @ 4:30
The co-op baseball game @ BC today has been moved to Thursday evening, 7:30 @ Mansfield stadium.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT! Bear Yelverton will be attending the University of Maine with a major in Engineering. His high school activities include Can We? (10, 11), Drama (11, 12), and Ski Club (9). His favorite memory of high school is all of the shenanigans with his friends and he is most looking forward to moving on to the next step. Congratulations, Bear!

ATTENTION 8th GRADE PARENTS:
Tuesday after Memorial Day, the 26th, into the 27th, the 8th grade is going on an overnight field trip. You all should've received a text and email from Mrs. Viera explaining that if your student takes ANY medications outside of the school day that will need to be taken on this trip, she needs to have it by the end of the day tomorrow (5/22). Friday is a half day for students, but Mrs. Viera will be in her PCES office until 3:00. Please bring the prescription bottle with you and the attached form if possible, and she will take the necessary doses and return the bottle directly to you. Students may NOT carry and administer any medications that are not inhalers, epi-pens or insulin, per State Law. Feel free to contact Mrs. Viera 207-876-1363 or wviera@sad4.org if needed.

Hope Hunt has had many accomplishments in her two years in the TCTC welding program and she added another to her list recently as she was inducted into the National Technical Honor Society. Congratulations, Hope!

Her high school activities include National Honor Society (11, 12), Yearbook (10, 12), Prom (11, 12), Field Hockey (9, 10, 11, 12), Indoor Track (10, 11, 12), and Outdoor Track (9, 10, 11, 12). Her favorite memory of high school is beating the school record for race walk during her freshman year and she is most looking forward to being on her own. Congratulations, Sadie-Mae!

Alex's high school activities have included Band (9, 10, 11, 12), E-Sports (9, 10, 11, 12), Golf (9, 10, 11, 12), Baseball (9, 10), and Wrestling (9, 10, 11). The PCMS baseball and softball games @ Lee on Tuesday will now start at 3:30. Their games at Penquis on Thursday will no longer be held in Brownville, and will now be played at Harris field in Milo.

Families are welcome to attend the Grand March of attendees at 6:45pm this evening.
Parking information:
• Prom attendees should park across the street in the designated student parking area.
•Families attending the Grand March are asked to park along the roadway or at the wharf and walk up so we can reserve the parking lot for prom attendees.
IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDER:
No one is permitted on the railroad tracks at any time. Not only is this extremely dangerous, but there is also a $10,000 fine per person for trespassing on the tracks. Cameras are in place and the area is monitored.
We look forward to a fun and memorable evening celebrating our students!

This afternoon, May 12, a cell phone battery caught fire on the Cambridge/Parkman Bus 16 route. The bus driver safely evacuated all students immediately, and students were transferred to another bus to complete the route. No injuries have been reported. We appreciate the quick response of the driver and Transportation Director in ensuring student safety.
Due to the forecast for tomorrow, May 13th, the PCES Art Show and Outdoor Concert will be rescheduled for next Wednesday, May 20th, starting at 5:00 pm.
