Yesterday PVHS softball hosted PCHS their 4th annual "Pink" game. After a couple of scoreless innings, PVHS won the game 15-0.
This game served as a fundraiser for the Reed Foundation, which supports families affected by cancer. Our PCHS girls made tye dye tops in support of the cause and wore them during the game. The teams came together after the game for a photo. We would like to thank PVHS for inviting us to be part of their special event.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT! Tristan Billington will be attending Virginia Tech for Psychology. His high school activities include Soccer (10, 11, 12), Wrestling (10), and Tennis (10, 11, 12). His favorite memory of high school is his first day at PCHS and he is most looking forward to moving on with his life. Congratulations, Tristan!
SENIOR SPOTLIGHT! Grant Higgins will be going to KVCC for Career Studies with plans to go on to the electrical program. His high school activities include Student Council (9), Can We? (10, 11), Drama Club (10, 11), Ski Club (9), Soccer (11, 12), Track (9, 11), and Tennis (10, 11). His favorite memory of high school is causing shenanigans in the hall and he is most looking forward to causing shenanigans in Waterville with Landon. Congratulations, Grant!
There has been a report of a wild animal sighted on the periphery of campus near the soccer field. As a precaution, we are temporarily limiting outdoor access and closely monitoring any necessary outdoor movement. Maine Game Wardens have been contacted and are on the way to assist. At this time, students and staff are safe, and school operations are continuing as normal indoors.
Now that the pollen has settled some, the temperatures are rising...except for the next few days. Please encourage your students to hydrate throughout the day! A refillable water bottle is perfect! As a society, we don't drink enough water. I'd say that dehydration is probably the number one cause of the headaches that come to see me. I'll often have them drink water first before administering Tylenol, and 8 times out of 10, the Tylenol is not needed. -Mrs. Viera

His favorite memory of high school is soccer, especially winning States. He is most looking forward to getting out into the real world and earning money. Congratulations, Dawson!

The PCMS baseball and softball games that were scheduled for today cannot be made up before the regular season expires. Since both teams find themselves outside of playoff contention, those seasons are now completed.

ATTENTION 8th GRADE PARENTS:
Tuesday after Memorial Day, the 26th, into the 27th, the 8th grade is going on an overnight field trip. You all should've received a text and email from Mrs. Viera explaining that if your student takes ANY medications outside of the school day that will need to be taken on this trip, she needs to have it by the end of the day tomorrow (5/22). Friday is a half day for students, but Mrs. Viera will be in her PCES office until 3:00. Please bring the prescription bottle with you and the attached form if possible, and she will take the necessary doses and return the bottle directly to you. Students may NOT carry and administer any medications that are not inhalers, epi-pens or insulin, per State Law. Feel free to contact Mrs. Viera 207-876-1363 or wviera@sad4.org if needed.

Hope Hunt has had many accomplishments in her two years in the TCTC welding program and she added another to her list recently as she was inducted into the National Technical Honor Society. Congratulations, Hope!
