This is a reminder for the pooled testing participants. IF your child is exposed to Covid OUTSIDE of the school setting (school, bus, school sports, school clubs, etc), then he/she NEEDS to quarantine at home for ten days from the community exposure. The higher the level of education, the higher the level of ed tech certification you will have. Tonight's parent meeting has been canceled. Practices are still on at this time. Girls A team practice has been canceled.

Due to Covid related issues at Medway, the girls game scheduled for tomorrow has been canceled. No makeup game at this time. The boys game is still on.

The middle school basketball game vs Ridgeview that was canceled on Monday, will no be played on Monday, January 10. The boys will play at 3:30 followed by the girls around 5:00.

When an athlete is out due to Covid close counter, below are the MPA guidelines. MPA Sports Medicine Committee The MPA Sports Medicine Committee met on Wednesday, September 1 with the chairs of the fall sports committees to discuss re-entry into interscholastic play after team members have had to quarantine from being a close contact or isolate from having a positive Covid-19 test. Upon their return to the team the following should be met: In the case of a student with a positive case of Covid-19, after they have finished their isolation period, an individualized return to play protocol should be developed. Pre-season acclimatization requirements must be completed in full prior to participation in a contest. Student-athletes should follow an individualized condition program while they are away from the team, Schools are asked to accommodate opponents to meet these requirements. The committee also set minimum expectations for return to interscholastic play. Schools may assess their individual student-athletes and individualize a return to play plan that goes beyond these requirements. Non-contact sports (cheering, cross country, golf, volleyball) – eligible after fulfilling the quarantine requirements. Contact sports (field hockey, soccer, basketball and wrestling) – eligible for interscholastic play following one full team practice. This does not include a pre-game warm-up session on the day of the game. Collision sports (football) – eligible for interscholastic play following two full team practices with one of them being a full contact practice and the other may be a full practice or a walk-through practice the day before a game.

Todays girls game at Madison has been canceled. There will be no makeup date and no practice today. As of right now, the boys will still play at 7:00 but stay tuned.

Madison will not be allowing visiting fans at any of their games. They will be streaming their games on NFHS.
