Good afternoon. First of all, congratulations to all the winners of the Books for Bikes contest! There is nothing better than seeing kids dive into books. As I was bringing the last handful of boys' mountain bikes to the lobby for pickup, I noticed that the handlebars are on backwards, causing the pedal/foot to hit the front tire when turning. Please check this out on your child's bike before he/she take off on it; it can easily cause a fall. The disc brake should be on the left side of the bike. This problem is easily adjusted by turning the front tire around with the handlebars then loosening the hex nut on the bars and twisting them around into the proper position. If you can't do it, I suggest taking the bike to the local hardware store. They can fix it in two seconds. Again, please check to see that the disc brake on the front tire is on the left side of the bike to avoid tire stoppage when turning. Have a great holiday weekend!

Good luck to all of our teams this weekend! H.S. Baseball is playing a double header at Penquis at 4:00 PM H.S. Track is competing in the PVC championship meet at 3 PM at Old Town High School. Our M.S. Baseball playoff game will be tomorrow at Stearns at 1:00 PM. H.S. Tennis will be in Orono tomorrow for an 11 AM match time.

The tennis match scheduled for today has been postponed and rescheduled for Saturday at 11 AM in Orono.
